Plaincode Digital is a Shopify Agency based in the Netherlands. We are the data controller for anything you send us through this site.

privacy.

We collect as little as possible: what you enter in the booking form, and anonymous statistics on which pages get read.

✸What we keep. Your name, email address, store URL, and whatever notes you send. Nothing else, and never anything from your own store's customer data.

✸Why. To reply to you and, if we start working together, to draw up a contract and invoice. That's the whole list.

✸How long. Enquiries that go nowhere get deleted after twelve months. Client records are kept for seven years, as required under Dutch tax law.

✸Who else sees it. Our email, calendar, scheduling and invoicing providers, all under a data processing agreement and all hosted within the EU. We don't sell or share anything with advertisers.

✸Your rights. Ask for a copy, a correction, or a deletion, and you'll have it within thirty days, usually the same week. An email is enough, no form required.

✸Under NDA. If we're working on your store, we'll sign whatever confidentiality agreement you use, and we only get production access through named accounts that you can revoke yourself.

This site has no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, and no cookie banner, because there's nothing to ask consent for.

One cookie from our scheduling tool, only set when you open the booking calendar, so your chosen time slot survives a page reload.

ANALYTICS · COOKIELESS

Page views counted without cookies, without storing your IP, and without a profile of you. We see that a page was read, not by whom.

MARKETING · NONE

No remarketing tags, no social pixels, no third-party ad scripts. If that ever changes, this page changes first and you'll see a banner.

The short version of what's in every contract. If there's a conflict, the signed document always wins.

✸Scope and price. Fixed price per project, agreed in writing before we start. Want to add something along the way? It gets its own quote instead of a surprise on the invoice.

✸Payment. Fifty percent up front, fifty percent at launch, fourteen-day payment terms. Monthly work is invoiced at the start of the month.

✸Ownership. All code and design we make for you is yours after the final payment, in your own repository and your own Shopify account. No licence fees, no lock-in.

✸Aftercare. Thirty days of free fixes on anything we built. Monthly work runs month to month and either side can stop with two weeks' notice.

✸Third parties. Shopify, apps, hosting and domains stay in your name and on your credit card. We never take over the accounts your business runs on.

✸Portfolio. We like showing the work, with your name on it. Would rather we didn't? Say so and we won't. It costs us nothing to respect that.
